CHELSEAVSUNDERLAND

Match insight

On the numbers this is a stark mismatch between Chelsea and Sunderland. Chelsea currently sit 11 places and 6 points above Sunderland in the table — 6th against 17th. Chelsea have taken 7 points from their last 5, against 4 for Sunderland over the same stretch. Form and table position both point the same way here, but a class gap on paper is still no guarantee on the day for Chelsea against a motivated Sunderland.
